Yesterday, both my junrod@yahoo.com and juanrodulfajr@gmail.com were both hacked. they were used in soliciting funds for my sick brother in Brussels (I don't have any brother, because I'm the only boy in the family).
If ever you received such an email, please ignore it. It didn't originate from me.
It is a very sick world that we live in. Good that we have some nice brothers and sisters who contacted me immediately and advised about the modus operandi of those hackers trying to exact money from my contacts.
PLEASE BE ALERT AND BEWARE OF THOSE WHO WILL TRY TO CONVINCE YOU OF THE URGENT NEED TO SEND MONEY TO BRUSSELS. IT IS A BIG LIE!
(Quezon City) - The December 2009 "Our Kingdom Ministry" Philippine edition contains the following information: A CIRCUIT ASSEMBLY TO HELP US SAFEGUARD OUR SPIRITUALITY Q1. What is one provision from Jehovah to help us fulfill our commission to spread the good news? 1. Jehovah generously provides the information, training, and encouragement we need to share in the divine commission to spread the good news. (Matt 24:14; 2 Tim 4:17) Our annual circuit assembly is one such provision. A new program for the 2010 service year will develop the theme "Safeguard Your Spirituality," based on Romans 8:5 and Jude 17-19. Tehe new series is scheduled to begin on the third week of January 2010. How does Romans and Jude apply to the great crowd when the WBTS say its written for the 144,000? Q2. (a) In what ways will the circuit assembly be beneficial to us? (b) How have past circuit assemblies helped you in the ministry? 2. HOW BENEFICIAL: The program will alert us to dangers, such as distractions that threaten to consume our time and divert our attention from what is truly important. We will learn how to counteract the spirit of permissiveness, and we will consider what characterizes a spiritual person. The Sunday symposium will show how individuals and family groups can take steps to strengthen their spirituality in the face of increasing pressures and serious tests of faith. The program will help us to safeguard our hearts, maintain our spiritual health, and keep clearly in mind the grand blessings that await those who safeguard their spirituality. Sounds like a packed 12 hour indoctrination session that serves the purpose to guilt-tripping the friends and making sure they keep their time and energy focused on the "laws of men" - the WBTS treadmill of prescribed theocratic activities! Q3. When is your next circuit assembly, and what should be your resolve? 3. As soon as you learn when and where your next circuit assembly will be held, make plans to be present and attentive for all sessions both days. Be assured, Jehovah blesses the hands of the diligent one. Prov. 21:5 Not only "present" but they want you "attentive for all sessions both days" Q4. What are we sure to receive at our upcoming circuit assembly? 4. Indeed, Jehovah is the Provider of this good gift. The program prepared by the faithful slave class will be just what we need to carry on as Christian ministers. We are grateful to Jehovah for all his loving provisions helping us to "hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering." Heb 10:23-25; Jas 1:17. For the benefit of those who will be attending the Tagalog Circuit Assembly, we have included here a copy of the Program in the vernacular.

Witnesses Invite All To “The Time Left Is Reduced” Special Assembly Day (April 26, 2010 - Quezon City ) – Jehovah’s Witnesses are launching a vigorous campaign to invite all to hear interesting discussions about the Bible’s description of what many people refer to as the “last days” of the world. Witnesses are convinced that each of their neighbors will be intrigued and even encouraged by what will be presented at the 2010 “The Time Left Is Reduced” Special Assembly Day to be held at the Metro Manila Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1140 Quirino Highway, Novaliches, Quezon City. Jehovah’s Witnesses are extending their invitation to everyone from Metro Manila to attend the one-day event in Quezon City that will begin May 1, 2010, Saturday, at 8:40 a.m. The same program will be replicated the next day (Sunday) for those who can’t make it for the Saturday session. The theme is based on several passages of the Bible 1 Corinthians 7:29, where Christians are advised that they are living in the last days and that “the time left is reduced”. How the Bible illuminates and clarifies the import of those words for modern Bible readers will be the focus of the program. Admission to the one-day event is free, and no collection will be taken. Some of the highlights of the talks to be delivered in the morning are : “The Scene of the World is Changing – How It Affects Us” by Michael Eborde; “How Our Salvation is Nearer” by Circuit Overseer Lorenzo Gulla; “Go forth With a Purpose” by Emelito Agsaoay, Jr.; “Don’t Use the World to the Full But Fulfill Your Ministry” by Visiting Watchtower Representative Eleazar Nicar; “Dedication and Baptism” by Lionel Rodulfa. The afternoon session will have “Exercise Soundness of Mind During Youth" by Virgilio Pidelo; "Anxious of the Things of the Lord” by Renato Isidro and the Assembly theme “The Time Left Is Reduced” – How Will You Use it? by Eleazar Nicar Witnesses anticipate an excellent turnout for the event. They look forward to welcoming many non-Witnesses to the Special Assembly Day and believe that all who attend will benefit from the practical and timely information presented. The one-day event will be presented throughout the Philippines aside from Metro Manila. Worldwide, there are over 7,300,00 Witnesses in more than 103,000 congregations.
Psalm 83:18 Source: October 15, 2008, page 3 pars. 1,2 Some years ago, a woman was deeply disturbed by a tragedy that occurred in her neighborhood. Born into a Roman Catholic family, she went to the local priest for help, but he was unwilling even to speak with her. So she prayed to God: “I don’t know who you are… but I know you’re there. Please let me know you.” A short while later, Jehovah’s witnesses visited her and gave her the comfort and knowledge she had sought. Among many other things, they taught her that God has a personal name, Jehovah. Learning that was a very emotional experience for her. “Imagine, “ she said, “this was the God I longed to know since I was a child!” Many have had a similar experience. Often, they first saw Jehovah’s name when they read Psalm 83:18 in the Bible. Blue Moon: Astronomical Phenomenon on March 30, 2010. And it's also a great ballad... This is an article that appeared in the Manila Bulletin: Rare 2nd ‘blue moon’ in a year on March 30 By ELLALYN B. DE VERA, March 1, 2010, 5:08pm A rare occurrence of a second “blue moon” this year will light the night sky on March 30. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the rare phenomena of two "blue moons" occurring twice in the same year were happening in 2010. The first blue moon happened last January 30 and the second blue moon will appear on March 30. PAGASA weather specialist Jose Mendoza explained that blue moon pertains to a second full moon that appears in the same calendar month. He said it takes the moon about 29.5 days to circle the Earth once in its orbit that is why it is possible that two full moons can occur especially if the month has a 30th or 31st day in the calendar. February can never have two full moons because the shortest time between them is 29.27 days. February has no full moon because it only has 28 days. Based on PAGASA’s astronomical diary, “since the full moon occurred on Jan. 1 and 30, 2010 and preceded by 28 days of February, the event will be repeated on March 1 and 30, 2010.” Mendoza said that during the time the blue moon happened in January or the New Year’s Eve blue moon occurred, it fell under the Philippine zone (eight hours ahead of the world time), thus the occurrence of a second blue moon this month. On the average, blue moon takes place once every two and a half years. Given that, the next blue moon will be on Aug. 2 and 31, 2012. However, PAGASA said the second blue moon for this year which will appear this March is an exceptional case. (Incidentally, this coincides with the Memorial being celebrated by Jehovah’s Witnesses all over the world). It noted that a New Year’s Eve blue moon happens every 19 years, and the last time it occurred was in 1990. In astronomical terms, a “blue moon” has nothing to do with color, instead, it is the term used to denote only the second full moon that occurs within a given calendar month. Contrary to the occurrence of “blue moon,” there have been times when the moon does seem to have a blue color. This can be caused by dust particles in the atmosphere, which scatter light. “The effects of this dust on the light coming from the moon can cause it to appear bluish in color. Fine dust particles are ejected into the Earth's upper atmosphere after large volcanic eruptions, as an example,” PAGASA said. The eruption of the Krakatoa Volcano in 1883 created a “blue moon.” The Wikipedia gives more insight: A blue moon can refer to the third full moon in a season with four full moons, or the second full moon of a calendar month. Most years have twelve full moons which occur approximately monthly, but in addition to those twelve full lunar cycles, each solar calendar year contains an excess of roughly eleven days compared to the lunar year of 12 lunations. The extra days accumulate, so every two or three years (7 times in the 19-year Metonic cycle), there is an extra full moon. Lunisolar calendars have rules on when to insert such an intercalary of embolismic ("leap") month, and what name it is given; e.g. in the Hebrew calendar the month Adar is duplicated. The term "blue moon" comes from folk lore. Different traditions and conventions place the extra "blue" full moon at different times in the year. In calculating the dates for Lent and Easter, the Clergy identify the Lent Moon. It is thought that historically when the moon's timing was too early, they named an earlier moon as a "betrayer moon" (belewe moon), thus the Lent moon came at its expected time. Folklore gave each moon a name according to its time of year. A moon which came too early had no folk name – and was called a blue moon – bringing the correct seasonal timings for future moons. The Farmers' Almanac defined blue moon as an extra full moon that occurred in a season; one season was normally three full moons. If a season had four full moons, then the third full moon was named a blue moon. Recent popular usage defined a blue moon as the second full moon in a calendar month, stemming from an interpretation error made in 1946 that was discovered in 1999. For example, December 31, 2009 was a blue moon according to this usage. A "blue moon" is also used colloquially to mean "a rare event", reflected in the phrase "once in a blue moon". Also, "Blue Moon" is a classic popular song. It was written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1934, and has become a standard ballad. The lyrics of the song presumably refer to an English idiomatic expression: "once in a blue moon" means very rarely. The narrator of the song is relating a stroke of luck so unlikely that it must have taken place under a blue moon. The title relies on a play on words, since Blue is also the color of melancholy, and indeed the narrator is sad and lonely until he (or she) finds love.
Noodles and your Life: It is very essential to know the correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health. Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for 3 minutes around and then ready to eat. This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles. By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic. The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles. CORRECT method, which you may or may not know, is to cook the noodles this way : 1. Boil the noodles in a pot with water. 2. Once the noodles are cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax. 3. Boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire. 4. Only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup. 5. However, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles, add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles. Please share this info and help save a life.
Jesus Gave His Life For Many Jesus Christ told his followers that he came to earth, “not to be ministered to, but to minister and give his soul a ransom in exchange for many.” (Matthew 20:28) He willingly gave his life for the benefit of others. How did Jesus, by his death, provide a ransom? Why was this necessary? For whom did Jesus lay down his life? And what can his death mean for you? Jehovah’s Witnesses warmly invite you to meet with them to examine the Bible’s answers to these questions. This year, the anniversary of Jesus’ death falls on Tuesday, March 30, after sundown. On that occasion, Scriptural answers to the above questions will be presented. You may attend at the Kingdom Hall nearest to your home. Please check with Jehovah’s Witnesses locally for the exact time and place. For those in the Quezon City area, you are invited to attend at the following address: Manresa Congregation Address: 186 Roosevelt Avenue, S.F.D.M., Quezon City Time: 7:30 P.M.
Preparing for the 2010 “The Time Left Is Reduced” Special Assembly Day “Make Sure of the More Important Things,” “Standing Firm as One Flock’” “Keep Bearing Witness to the Truth,” and “We Are the Clay – Jehovah is our Potter.” (Phil. `:9, 10, 27; John 18:37; Isa. 64:8) These are but a few of the many themes discussed at past assembly days. Are you eager to attend the assembly day for 2010? It will develop the theme: “The Time Left Is Reduced,” taken from 1 Corinthians 7:29. Start building enthusiasm for the special assembly day as soon as the date is announced in your congregation. (Quezon City scheduled this for May 1, 2010 – a Saturday) Some parents help their children look forward to the assembly by putting the date on the family calendar, along with a checklist of items needed, and then they count down the days. During your Family Worship evening, you may wish to review notes from previous special assembly days. You can also prepare your heart for this event by reviewing Benefit From Theocratic Ministry Schedule Education, pages 13-16, to help you and your family “pay attention to how you listen.” – Luke 8:18. Apply what you learn: A common expression heard after an assembly is, “What a wonderful program!” That is always true, as this is one of many rich provisions from Jehovah. (Proverbs 10:22) For the information to bear fruit, you must meditate on it and retain it. (Luke 8:15) Take time on your way home after the assembly to discuss the program as a family or with those in your car group. Discuss one another’s goals and points that will help you in your ministry. Doing so will contribute to your benefiting from the information long after the assembly. – James 1:25. We always feel special when we receive a practical gift that is exactly what we need. Do we not eagerly anticipate what Jehovah has in store for us at our next special assembly day? We can be sure that it will be practical in every way. We can expect to receive from our heavenly Father, Jehovah, just the right gift by way of encouragement and training for carrying on the work he has assigned us to do. – 2 Tim. 4:2; James 1:17.
Biblical story has message for parents The Biblical story of the prodigal son will be reborn every Sunday at the Metro Manila Manila Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1140 Quirino Highway, Novaliches, Quezon City starting November 10, 2009 through January 10, 2010. The attendees will appreciate as they turn their attention to the drama 'Your brother was dead, but returned to live', a modern interpretation of Jesus' parable. The performance will be a part of the three-day convention organized by Jehovah's Witnesses. More than 360,000 people are expected to turnout for the series of “Keep Awake!” District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses all over the country which will be held in 69 different locations. Director Reynaldo Ocampo said the drama reflects real life in many young people and teenagers today. "Our drama was based on the parable of Jesus where the parents were to be remembered as the father of the prodigal son, who maintained the line of communication open and left the door open for his son would return," he said. " The convention will also be presented in Korean on November 7 & 8 at the Quezon city Performing Arts, Amoranto Complex, Quezon City. Everybody is invited to watch the drama as well as any of the sessions that starts every Friday starting November 6-8, 2009 through January January 8-10, 2010. No collection will be taken.
